Plans

Then I keep it running

A website is not finished at launch, because the updates still need running, the backups still need checking, and the new photos still need to go up before the season starts. I save you time by doing all of that for a flat monthly price on any site I have built or refreshed. These plans are add-ons to a build or a refresh rather than something I sell on their own, so if someone else built your site, a refresh is the first step and it makes you eligible for everything on this page.

Managed Hosting + Care Plan

$44a month

$88 a month for every WooCommerce store and any large site. Both include GST, are invoiced monthly in advance by Brella Tech, and I manage the site.

Includes

  • WordPress core, plugin and theme updates, with a backup check before and a check of the homepage, navigation, key form and layout after
  • Uptime monitoring, with any downtime reviewed within support hours
  • Backup monitoring and restores when needed
  • SSL, licence and basic security checks
  • Support to keep the site live and working
  • A quarterly summary of what I did

Does not include

  • Content changes (that is the Content Updates add-on)
  • New pages or features
  • Fixing a break caused by a major WordPress or plugin issue. I explain it first and quote it separately if it needs real work

Add-on for WordPress sites

Content Updates

$50a month

Billed quarterly in advance by me.

Includes

  • Changes to any existing content on the site
  • New text or photos you send me, put up and matched to the rest of the site
  • News posts, gallery photos or listings you send me, added where they belong
  • A rough version from you, rewritten in the site's voice
  • Unlimited within reason: about two hours of my time a month, with quiet months balancing busy ones

Does not include

  • New main pages (a new page in the menu)
  • New features or integrations
  • New content written from scratch, such as blog posts (that is SEO + AEO or social work, or quoted)
  • Social media posting (see the social tiers on the Digital Marketing page)

Static sites, hosting included

Care + Content Bundle

$100a month

Billed quarterly in advance by me. Included with every static site I build; it is not optional, and the site itself is yours on final payment.

Includes

  • Hosting
  • Uptime monitoring, backups and restores
  • SSL, form and link checks
  • Support to keep the site live and working
  • Everything in Content Updates
  • A quarterly summary

Does not include

  • New main pages, new features, or new content written from scratch
  • Moving the site to WordPress (that is a new build)

Emails are answered within 24 business hours, and a site that is down goes to the front of the queue. When something needs fixing I tell you how long it will take inside that window. Domain registration and renewal is about $30 a year and is invoiced by me.

Prices are in Australian dollars and are the full amount you pay. The Managed Hosting + Care Plan is invoiced by Brella Tech and includes GST, and nothing I invoice myself has GST added.

Social

Keep the socials fed too

These are add-ons for any site I build or look after. You send me what you want said in plain English, with a photo if you have one, and I brand it, write it and post it to Facebook and Instagram. There is no planning and no chasing for content, and unused posts do not roll over.

You brief

Social Updates

$50a month

Up to four posts a month. You email me what you want said and a photo if you have one, and if you do not, I make a branded image instead. I write the caption and hashtags and post it for you.

Does not include

  • Content planning or a calendar
  • Video
  • Paid ads
  • Profile setup (see Setup and Optimise on the Digital Marketing page)

You brief

Social Updates Plus

$150a month

The same as Social Updates, with up to twelve posts a month. If you would rather post it yourself, I send the branded image and caption back to you instead.

Does not include

  • Content planning or a calendar
  • Video
  • Paid ads

Both are billed quarterly in advance by me. If you would rather I planned and made the content as well, that is Plan and Create from $500 a month on the Digital Marketing page.

Payment

How payment works

Builds and refreshes

Half is due before work begins, and the start date is written on the deposit invoice so we both know it. Before the balance is due you see the whole site on a private link, copy and design together, with three rounds of revisions included, so you are never paying for something you have not seen. The balance is due when the site is ready for launch or on the quoted completion date, whichever comes first, and the site goes live when that final payment lands. Jobs quoted at more than four weeks are split 50, 25 and 25, with the middle payment due when the first draft is delivered and the last at ready for launch. If I cause a delay, the completion date moves by the same amount, and if the delay is on your side, it does not.

Spread it over 12 months

The upfront cost of a build or refresh can be spread over 12 months under a signed agreement, with the total cost split into 12 equal monthly payments. The first payment is due before work begins, and because the site stays on hosting I manage for the term, the Care Plan is included for those 12 months.

Everything else

Audits, SEO + AEO work, social setups, AI work and new features are paid in full before work begins, as they are short jobs with a clear scope. Hosting and care is billed monthly in advance by Brella Tech, while every other recurring plan, from Content Updates to SEO + AEO management and AI Support, is billed quarterly in advance by me, and domains are billed yearly.

Questions

Plan questions

Can I get a plan for a site someone else built?

Not straight away, because the plans are for sites on my stack. The first step is a refresh from $1,500, which brings your site up to my standards and moves it onto hosting I manage, and after that every plan on this page is open to you.

What happens if my site breaks?

Email me and I reply within 24 business hours, and a site that is down goes to the front of the queue. On the Care Plan I restore from backup, roll back a bad update or fix the cause as part of the plan. If the break is caused by a major WordPress or plugin failure that needs real rebuilding, I explain what happened first and quote that work separately before I touch anything.

Who bills me?

WordPress hosting and care is invoiced monthly in advance by Brella Tech, the hosting partner I work with, so you will see their name on that invoice while I still manage the site. Every other recurring plan is invoiced by me, quarterly in advance, and domains are invoiced yearly.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Monthly hosting and care stops at the end of the month you cancel in, and quarterly plans run to the end of the quarter you have already paid for. If you are on a 12-month payment plan for a build, the Care Plan runs for the full term because it is part of that agreement. Whenever you leave, the site, the domain and your accounts go with you, as they have been in your name since final payment.

What counts as a content update?

A content update is a change to something already on the site, such as new prices, new photos, a new team member, updated opening hours or a rewritten paragraph, which you send me rough and I put up matched to the rest of the site. Within reason means about two hours of my time a month, which covers most businesses easily, and quiet months balance busy ones; if a month needs a lot more than that, I tell you before I start and quote the extra. A new main page, a new feature such as a booking system, or a blog post written from scratch is not a content update, so those are quoted or belong to a marketing plan. Social posts are their own add-on, Social Updates, from $50 a month.

Do you host static sites?

Yes. Every static site I build comes with the Care + Content Bundle at $100 a month, and it is not optional because a static site is built for me to edit. Hosting is included in that price, and since there are no plugins or core updates to run on a static site, the plan covers monitoring, backups, checks, support and your content updates. The site is yours on final payment, so if you ever leave you take the files with you and the bundle simply stops.

Should my site be WordPress or static?

WordPress if you want to edit text, images or blog posts yourself, and always if you sell online. Static if you would rather I did the updates, because it costs less upfront, builds faster and comes with the Care + Content Bundle so nothing waits on you. Both are covered by a plan on this page, and the full trade-off is on the Websites page.

Is there a hosting-only option without the care?

No. I used to offer a lower level with less management and I have retired it, because a site with no one checking the updates is the one that goes down. $44 a month is now the standard for every WordPress site I look after.

Let's talk

Ready to hand it over?

Book a 30-minute call and I'll tell you what it would cost and what it would not include, before you decide anything.

  • You leave with a price and a list of what it does not include
  • A 30-minute phone call at a time you pick
  • No sales follow-up unless you ask for it

Or start with a free website audit

Next you pick a 30-minute slot and leave the number I should call. Your details stay with me and are never shared.
